Why Cohousing?

In this interview from September 2026, Fiona Slevin explains how thousands of older people are excluded from housing policy. In Ireland, 90% of over-65s own their own home, and live in an under-occupied home (the highest rates in the EU). Many want to move to more suitable accommodation, but are blocked by system barriers within the system, from policy to finance.
